I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
